Milk
This film follows the last decade of gay rights activist Harvey Milk's life. As he points out early on, "I'm 40 and I've done nothing." This quickly changes when Milk and his new partner, Scott Smith(James Franco) move to San Francisco and begin campaigning around their new camera shop. As Milk slowly gains momentum and strives to become the first gay elected official in the city, he faces a number of challenges personally and politically and is forced to sacrifice over and over again to keep the movement going.
